We’re Tightrope Adventures. Around here, we believe a tightrope is more than just a line — it’s a philosophy. Stepping onto a tightrope captures everything we love about adventure: that thrilling moment when you leave solid ground behind, find your footing, and discover just how capable and alive you truly are. It’s about balance, presence, and the joy of being fully in the moment. It’s about looking out at something wild and beautiful and saying yes. Every tour we run is built on that spirit — to get you out of the everyday, into the extraordinary, and back home with stories worth telling.

We are passionate locals who live and breathe Vancouver Island. The tours we offer aren’t just itineraries we put together — they are the exact days we spend on our own time, in our favourite places, doing the things we love most. From paddling the calm waters of Tod Inlet to hiking ancient rainforest on the Juan de Fuca Trail, every stop has been chosen because it genuinely moved us. We’ve explored trails across the island, tackled multi-day backcountry adventures, and travelled internationally — and we keep coming back to our own backyard because there is simply nowhere else like it. We can’t wait to share it with you.

Your safety is our highest priority. Our guides are Wilderness First Aid Certified and hold Paddle Canada Instructor Certifications for all guided paddle excursions. We operate in full compliance with all local government regulations, Transport Canada guidelines, and BC vehicle safety and insurance requirements. Every tour carries first aid supplies and emergency communication equipment including an InReach satellite communicator — so whether you’re on the water, deep in the forest, or out on a rugged coastal trail, you are in experienced, prepared, and capable hands. We pride ourselves on following “Leave No Trace” principles helping to protect and preserve the spaces we explore so that natural landscapes remain unspoiled for wildlife and future generations.
