West Coast Wonders

Join us for an unforgettable day on the wild, rugged southwest edge of Vancouver Island — where ancient rainforest, Pacific coastline, rich history, and warm local community come together for one truly epic West Coast adventure.

We’ll explore a portion of the Juan de Fuca Trail, stepping into one of Canada’s most beautiful temperate coastal rainforests. Towering moss-draped Douglas firs and cedars create a canopy overhead as the forest stillness melts the outside world away. Cross a suspension bridge and arrive at Mystic Beach — where the forest suddenly gives way to a breathtaking expanse of wild Pacific coastline that will stop you in your tracks. Rocky cliffs frame a pristine shoreline, sea caves carved by centuries of ocean beckon to be explored, and the vast open Pacific stretches endlessly to the Olympic mountains in the distance. It is pure, untouched West Coast at its finest. With any luck, whales, sea lions, and otters may be spotted along the way.

We’ll have lunch from the iconic Shirley Delicious — a true West Coast gem and a highlight of the day in its own right. This beloved community stop is packed with locally sourced food, fresh flavours, artisan gifts, and the kind of warmth and character that keeps people coming back. Don’t leave without browsing the local goods. After lunch we will head to Sheringham Point Lighthouse, built in 1912 and lovingly restored. A guided tour takes you to the top for sweeping ocean views and a fascinating look into the rich history of one of Vancouver Island’s most treasured landmarks.

We wrap up the day at Sooke Oceanside Brewery alongside the Grilled to the Mac food truck. With local craft drinks — alcoholic and non-alcoholic — and great food on offer, it’s the perfect way to toast an epic day on the West Coast.
